HISTORY

Pádraig founded his own practice in 1959. In 1963 he was joined by Piaras Beaumont when the firm was renamed Murray & Beaumont. This partnership merged with John Costello in 1971 to form Costello, Murray & Beaumont (CMB). The practice in all its forms since 1959 undertook a wide range of new build and conservation projects. These are outlined in the accompanying portfolio.

Pádraig was also an active participant in the affairs of the profession both nationally and internationally and he lectured in the School of Architecture UCD over a period of 25 years.

By 1990, both John Costello and Piaras Beaumont had retired, however, Pádraig continued in practice as managing Director of CMB. During this latter period the practice concentrated on conservation projects. In 2009 Pádraig closed CMB and reverted to being a sole practitioner.
